The APL Forge

Submissions

Example submissions

As the APL Forge is a new competition in 2024, we have no previous winning submissions to inspire you. However, here are some existing applications and tools that could potentially have won if their authors weren’t ineligible due to their association with Dyalog Ltd:

  • Meddy: A Microsoft Windows GUI Markdown editor
  • Tube: A subway route planner
  • tacit.help: A tool to transform tacit APL into dfn form
  • dyalog-sqlite3: APL bindings for sqlite3

Your Submission

Please complete the form below to submit your entry to the APL Forge. If you have any questions, please contact us on forge@dyalog.com or send us a message

Not using GitHub?

For code/documents that are not in a GitHub account, submissions can be made using SFTP. If you would like to use this submission method, enter “SFTP” in the URL field above and we will email information to the email address provided above (Note that this might take a few working days, so please request this as far in advance of the submission deadline as possible to avoid disappointment).

Notes:

  • Your code can be submitted as a workspace or as a folder (like the ones produced by Link.Export or downloaded from a GitHub repository) or by linking to a GitHub repository or branch.
    • If you submit a GitHub repository/branch, we will clone it as of 23 June 2024. Any work done between submission and that date will count towards your solution; any work done after that date will not count. We suggest that you specify a branch for us to clone, so we get the code that you want to submit rather than what you happen to have available when we clone it.
  • For code that is not open source: Although the judging committee needs to see the code to judge it, they are working under a non-disclosure agreement and you retain the exclusive rights to your code so that you can commercialise your work.
