We only collect the data necessary for the competition to run, and will use any personal information submitted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Consent to Usage of Information
By participating in the APL Forge, you hereby grant to us permission to:
- publish and display the winning submission(s), exclusively for the purpose of or as a part of promotional/marketing materials, excluding any close source or proprietary code.
- have full access to review, test, and run the submission for the purpose of evaluation.
- use your name and likeness (winning submissions only) for the purpose of announcing the winner(s).
- use any winning presentation (see Participant Eligibility in promotional/marketing materials.
- use submitted information for the purpose of organising and/or managing the competition and its prizes, in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
By participating in the APL Forge, you agree that if you win and subsequently participate in any promotional activities or material, you will do so without additional payment or permission.
Retention of Your Rights
By entering the APL Forge you will retain all rights you have in the copyright and other intellectual property rights comprising all entries but, by submitting, you grant Dyalog Ltd the permissions specified in Consent to usage of information above. You warrant to us that any entry submitted by you is wholly original to you and not wholly or substantially copied from any other material and that the submission does not infringe or violate any statutory, common law, regulatory, or intellectual property rights of any third party.
Disclaimers
We are not liable for any damage, loss, or disappointment suffered by you for taking part or not being able to take part in this competition.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we may alter, amend, or cancel the competition without prior notice.
We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.

Participants must provide truthful and accurate information regarding contact and personal information.
Only entries that are received by the deadline are eligible. We cannot accept responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, or damaged. Proof of sending an online entry is not proof that we received it.
Entries not submitted in accordance with these terms and all other rules and directions (at the sole discretion of Dyalog Ltd) will be excluded.
All prizes are denominated in pounds sterling (GBP), but can be awarded in pounds sterling (GBP), U.S. dollars (USD), or euros (EUR) by electronic transfer to a bank account or a PayPal account. No other forms of payment will be made. The cash prize will be awarded after the presentation is given at the user meeting (payment information must be received within three weeks of this or the cash prize will be forfeited).
If you are selected as a winner but are unable or unwilling to accept the prize, you cannot transfer the prize or designate someone else as the winner.
You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name, photograph, and any comments in such publicity without any fee being payable.
By entering the APL Forge, entrants agree that their information can be used by Dyalog Ltd to administer the competition; winners consent to give a presentation at a Dyalog user meeting, for which further promotional materials might be made, at the discretion of Dyalog Ltd and without any additional fee being payable.
If you accept a prize, you will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting that prize.
The judges’ decision is final, and they will not discuss the reasons for their selection of one submission over any others.
Dyalog Ltd reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside its control make this necessary.
These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising from, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
